Goals for the Conference Program
The first US Conference was held in October 2005 in Portland. The goal of that conference was to create community. The goal for 2007 is to increase the depth of knowledge in the American field. Contact with a large number of first generation facilitators has shown how very much there is to learn when one aspires to nurture the most effective environment in which constellation work may unfold.
The main conference program will begin on Thursday morning and conclude on Sunday afternoon. There will be two days of post conference workshops offered on Monday and Tuesday for an additional tuition fee. The main conference commences each day with a plenary session on issues of general interest to the whole community. Then there will be 5 workshops to choose from before lunch. Lunch will be a two hour break each day, after which there will again be 4-5 workshops to choose from. Lunch is served at 12:30 pm and dinner is served at 6 pm.We will have a section assigned to us in the cafeteria dining room.
At the end of the afternoon workshops, we will gather in circles of about 20 people. In these Circles, each person will have a minute or so to report on what their greatest insight of the day was, or perhaps something new that they learned. This is meant to be a time to share something which can be discussed in more detail during free time.
Thursday evening there will be a panel called Community Unfolding: Supporting our Growth Through Connection and Cooperation which will explore the potential of regional alliances and their effect on growing the work in this country. Friday and Sunday evenings will be free, with a selection of activities including spontaneous offerings by conference attendees, an evening in Asheville on the night of the weekly drum circle (Friday), opportunities to have bodywork, and the many activities offered at the Blue Ridge Assembly. After dinner on Saturday night, there will be local music to entertain us, followed by poetry reading and dancing.
The Post Conference Program takes place on Monday and Tuesday, with 4 day-long workshops to choose from on Monday and 5 to choose from on Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday evenings will be free after dinner. On Wednesday morning, after breakfast in Weatherford Hall, we will say our final farewells.
Workshops
Thank you to all who sent proposals. We have been gratified by the response and recognize the effort that was put into each submission. We had more proposals than time for presentations. If we were unable to use your proposal this time, there is always the opportunity to see if there is interest in the topic at the conference; you are certainly free to arrange something spontaneously during periods of free time. Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you at the conference!
The program promises to be an educational and inspiring mix!
Program (35 CEUs available!!)
If you have registered, you may select your workshops by logging in on the home page and then selecting the "Sign up for workshops" link on the account options page. Selecting your workshops in advance allows us to prepare a space comfortable for the number of participants. We also know that this will change for some onsite, and we anticipate in advance your graciousness in absorbing those changes and their consequences, as we attempt to accomodate even those with the most complex needs.
(The program language is in English. For those who are Spanish-speaking, there are translation services available to you at your own cost. Please write to deeyoh@hotmail.com and she will connect you to those services.)
