Mission Statement
The mission of this conference is to gather, share, learn, grow and serve. The goals are to increase the knowledge base in systemic constellations of those already facilitating the work, to enable those new to the work to have contact with expereinced facilitators, and to provide an opportunity for all who attend, to address pressing issues related to their own lives, both personal and professional as well as to the growth of this work in the USA.
Organizer
Sheila Saunders, RN, LMFT is the organizer for the 2007 US Conference, and is the primary contact person for information about
the conference. Sheila started Systemic Family Solutions in 2002 upon moving to the Asheville area. Sheila first met Bert Hellinger in 1999 at Esalen in California, where he was hosted by Gabriele Borkan and accompanied by Bert Hellinger and Harold Hohnen. She has studied with Guni Baxa, Hunter Beaumont, Gabriele Borkan, Wolf Buntig, Ursula Franke, Stephan Hausner, Dagmar Ingwersen, Ilsa Kuchera, Eva Madelung, Albrecht Mahr, Sneh Victoria Schnabel,
Jakob and Sieglinde Schneider, Heinz Stark, Anngwyn St. Just, Bertold and Gabriele Ulsamer and Gunthard Weber. She completed the 2nd Hellinger Constellation Training at the Hellinger Institute NYC led by Harald Hohnen, in 2002. Sheila attended two international intensive trainings at ZIST in Penzberg, Germany, (directed by Hunter Beaumont), as well as the International Congresses in Weurzburg in 2002 and 2004 (organized by Albrecht and Brigitta Mahr) and Cologne in 2007 (organized by Heinrich Breuer and Wilfried Nelles). Sheila participated on an international panel in Oaxaca at the First Constellation Conference of the Americas, discussing the progress of constellation work in the USA, and was part of the training team for the 2006 US Intensive in Santa Barbara, organized by Dyrian Benz-Chartrand and JoAnna Chartrand-Benz. Sheila has sponsored Bertold Ulsamer and Stephan Hausner in Asheville, NC. Dee Yoh, PhD, Executive Director, Pahlo Healing Arts Center, consulted for UVA Dept of Family Medicine, Alliance for Transforming Lives of Children. Counselor, Pathwork Teacher, VoiceBio Analyst, She leads workshops, training & supervision for facilitators. Dee is a graduate of the Gabrielle Borkan Institute, and has trained with Bert Hellinger, Gunthard Weber, Harold Hohnen and Sieglinde Schneider. Dee has graciously offered to manage the essential functions of registration, money management, transportation assistance, room assignments, and volunteer/scholarship consultation. Dee has the background and experience necessary to do this with efficiency, competence and grace.Without her, well, nevermind... Thank you, Dee.

Program Development:
J. Edward Lynch, Ph.D. is both a Gestalt Therapist and a Marriage and Family Therapist. In addition to these concentrations, Ed has also studied with and incorporated into his practice the basic techniques of Milton Erickson, M.D. Other influences include Perls, Polster, Zinker in the Gestalt field, and Salvador Minuchin, Virginia Satir, and Carl Whitaker. He has been involved in Family Constellations since 1996 and received training at the Bert Hellinger NYC USA Training Program. He has also been to the Intensives at ZIST in Munich and to Cloister Bernreid for training. In addition to being a therapist, J. Edward Lynch is also an author, presenter, and professor. His publications include the book Principles and Practices of Structural Family Therapy, many articles on Gestalt and Family Therapy, and several short stories. He has been a presenter at workshops in the USA and Europe since 1979. He continues to serve as a professor at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). In addition, he is the chairperson of the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy and the founder of the Gestalt Therapy Training Program at SCSU. He is a clinical supervisor of both Gestalt therapists and Marriage and Family therapists and has been associated with the education and training of psychotherapists for the past 30 years.
